In the Fall of 2024, I interned at Art-FX Studios in Crawfordville, Florida. Supervised by the company founder and Art Department lead, I collaborated on the construction and painting of immersive environments for custom escape room experiences and laser tag arenas, helping translate ideas into fully realized spaces. Most notably, I interpreted process sheets to complete scenic finishes on several sets of deliverables for replications of a "Scooby Doo" escape room package for nationwide chain, Escapology. I also contributed to the concept design for two original escape room experiences that are still in development, provided social media content support, and supported the fabrication studio in various other ways. I am so grateful for the Art-FX team and the industry knowledge I gained from this experience!

IAAPA Expo

Final version of our 2024 booth

In November of 2024, I supported Art-FX Studios as a representative at the IAAPA Expo in Orlando, Florida. I met several potential clients, showcased company strengths, and attended education sessions for emerging professionals. This exposure deepened my understanding of the entertainment industry and made me even more excited to be a part of this field. Our booth included a nautical themed audio animatronic, an interactive puzzle, and a demonstration of several themed finishes and facades.
